Young At Risk - YAR is a platform for organizations and recognized individuals working
with different groups of young people at risk. Young at Risk categories include
children, adolescents and youth who are emarginated, on the fringes of society,
are most disadvantaged, and have taken risks in life. Such groups include street
children, child workers, abused youngsters, young victims in different exploited
situations… etc. It serves these young people who have taken Risk in their life,
in various ways. This network has been initiated by Don Bosco South Asia Forum for
the Young at Risk, and is registered as Don Bosco National Forum for the Young at
Risk. |

www.missingchildsearch.net is wwwmissingchild a web platform for Young at Risk MCS
itself is one of the services of YAR. YAR serves the Complainant / Visitor who has
missed or lost his/ her child. It helps them to access the site from anywhere and
lodge a complaint of any missing child directly to any of the member organization,
which are registered in YAR network. It helps organizations to interact with each
other and to discuss about children who are lost. It also allows children who have
lost their parents and organizations working with these children to hunt for their
missed parents. |

| YAR provides public discussion forum for all registered organizations to discuss the major issues on Young At Risk. |

| YAR provides Private discussion forum for all registered members of the organizations to discuss about the privatized issues of Young At Risk.

| The situation of each child can be discussed with all the members in the registered organization online, which is the more focused service of YAR. All these discussions are archived and facilitates storage and retrieval. |

| Photo Gallery |
| As expedient, missing children photos are displayed in the photo gallery, and the
home page. The home page display facility is accessible to all visitors who are
seeking for their missing children. There is also a separate provision for each
registered organization to display as well as to access their photo gallery. |

| HomeLink |
| YAR provides Software tool called HomeLink to monitor and qualify the work done
by any organization working for the cause of street children or other groups of
Young at Risk. Adapting the philosophy of these project partners the system records
the whole process of assistance rendered to the child: from the moment of first
contact right through till restoration or rehabilitation. It has a facility to link
all registered organizations at International, National, State, District, City or
Local level. It has the direct uploading of an organization’s missing child request
to the website
www.missingchildsearch.net. This software HomeLink is a data based
tool and if well maintained helps the MCS component of respective organization to
search for and match the missing child complaints received by it with the data available
within their organization. |

| Technical Assistance |
| For those who avail of the HomeLink software YAR provides the technical assistances
required. A technical person is available online and if necessary in person, for
all its registered organizations to help smoothen out any technical problem they
face need and to asses the process of documentation. And if major Technical Assistance
is needed it approaches its Technical Partner – Don Bosco Computer Service Center
Yellagiri Hills or any of its professional sister concerns in India or abroad to
provide the required assistance. |

| National Level Training and Boot Leg Camp |
| YAR conducts Training program once in a year for its network partners to utilize
the website
missingchildearch.net and the documentation tool HomeLink in an effective
manner and to assist the young at risk. Coming together of its partners, representatives
and organization heads helps to maintain the software and the web sites so as to
be ever relevant to emerging needs, changing trends and modern technology. Other
related training and boot leg camps are also conducted. |

| Register Organization |
| YAR welcomes as many interested organization and individuals to collaborate in helping
children and young people who have taken risk in their life, are lost or are looking
for their missed parents. Interested organizations are welcomed to register their
organization’s details with the Administrator. He alone has the sole prerogative
to validate membership, which is renewable. Once registered, the organization joins
the YAR family in assisting young at risk, in tracing lost children and in restoring
them back home. |

| MCS-Chat |
| YAR provides online chat as a one of its communication media to all its registered
organizations. If facilitates discussion about children who are lost or about young
at risk in general and on related topics.. All the registered members are given
the provision to come online to discuss about the life situation of children. This
may be done on a one to one basis or in a group chat. . All discussions in the chat
facility are archived and may be stored as a public document. |

| MCS-Mail Service |
| YAR service the members by providing mail service among the registered organizations,
to build up the network among the members. |
| MCS-News Service |
| The registered organizations have access to the News service facility. This facility
allows the Administrator to display relevant news items sent in by member organizations
on its Notice Boards. There is also a similar display facility on the Home Page
of the site. |
